rDNS Management

Would it be possible to add rDNS setup and management on the admin side of the module. As it is right now we cannot manage it from the admin panel and since we have lots of IP's that we would like to put our own rDNS on to that are not currently assigned to clients.

We could manage it via cpanel but it would be better to have one place to manage it.

Settled, the feature will be added into 2.0 version. However ETA is unknown yet. Once we have more detailed information, we will definitely share it.

Yes, revDNS management has been introduced to DNS Manager For WHMCS 2.0.

You have to enable revDNS in a server (optionally you can select 'Multiple PTR') and set limits for PTR records in a package.

Then, your clients will be able to setup revDNS in your client area, in 'DNS Management' page through creating PTR records.

Please note that in DNS Manager For WHMCS 2.0, DNS and revDNS management tools are assembled in a single panel.

I saw in the most recent email that there will be a new version of DNS Manager out soon. Is there any feedback on when and what features will be implemented or improved upon?

In regards to Multiple PTRs, what does that mean?

In the new release, will we be able to allow customers to set rDNS even if they are not assigned the entire /24? For example, if a customer has a /29, will they be able to set the rDNS for those IPs?

The upcoming update of DNS Manager For WHMCS comes with plenty of new possibilities, but the one you are asking about is not yet introduced to the module, unfortunately. However, we have it in our to-do list and we will do our best to add such a feature in one of next releases.
