[Proxmox] password reset from WHMCS module

Postby amaurib » 9th February 2014, 1:00 am

I would like to know if is possible to change a VM password from the Proxmox WHMCS Module. If not, i would like to suggest such a functionality. It is kind of tedious for the client to open a support ticket to change a password.

Thanks.

There would be absolutely no problem for us to create this functionality but Proxmox API is limited in this case and we are unable to proceed. We have already contacted Proxmox and reported this problem. Once this will be implemented in Proxmox API, we will update our module to allow clients change passwords.

Hello Piotr,
At least, maybe displaying the password like in the shared hosting way will be good, our clients ask for this feature in their VPS products.

As Piotr has already mentioned, Proxmox API, unfortunately, does not support password display. The only possibility here is to get password via SSH. Nevertheless, this feature may be implemented solely for OpenVZ virtualization (KVM virtualization does not support the feature).
