CRM - Setup Automated followup

Hi is there a way to setup an automated followup on the CRM system when a client is set to a particular contact type.

Example, a contact has changed from being a "potential" contact type to a "request a demonstration" contact type.
I wish for a contact / sales person to get a followup reminders to follow up on that contact, X days (custom days) after the contact type was changed for that contact.

Also is it possible to setup emailing contacts in the same way using this idea?

There is no such a feature in the current version of CRM For WHMCS. That is, however, a very interesting suggestion and we will certainly include it in our to-do list for future updates.
