WHMCS V8.6 Support - Modules List

The recently released WHMCS V8.6 has brought a new aim for our developers – to bring every module in our offer up to speed as soon as possible!

We will not rest on our laurels until every product has received the impeccable support for the latest version of the system, and you may count on us to keep you freshly updated. Every module that has been upgraded will be marked with a sienna-colored label, just like the one displayed below:

Right underneath you will find the complete list of modules which have been thoroughly customized in order to deliver the same top-notch experience that you are accustomed to, in the latest version of WHMCS.

Important: If a module is not listed below then we do not recommend upgrading to WHMCS V8.6 due to the lack of officially confirmed support for PHP 8.1.

Can you kindly provide an ETA on the remaining WHMCS modules updates to WHMCS 8.6?

This is an essential issue for us as the Modules Garden WHMCS modules we use have not been upgraded to WHMCS 8.6 and are therefore an upgrade blocker.

Please advise.

Hello,

Providing impeccable WHMCS V8.6 support for every module is our priority task at the moment, but due to the fact that our vast offer consists of over 100 different products, we are not able to disclose a specific ETA for each one. We encourage you to contact our support agents, who remain in direct contact with the Product Development Team and may be able to provide more accurate information based on the current testing status of a particular module.

Took your advice and submitted a support ticket. However, the response did not answer the question.

Given that the EOL of PHP 7.4 is: 11-28-2022, what is your response?

I am really glad that you took my colleague's advice and contacted our support, because even though the answer you received doesn't quite satisfy you, being in touch with you via ticket means we'll be able to inform you as soon as the new versions of the modules you're interested in are available for download. Hopefully, you’ll find this to be of some comfort while you wait a little longer, as the exact release dates cannot be yet confirmed due to the complexity and multi-stage nature of ongoing testing.

Question: What are we paying for?

Aren't we paying for software that is compatible with the current PHP version?

When can we expect the software that we have payed for will be updated to be compatible with the current version of PHP?

Hello Uwe,

The software you paid for is guaranteed to undergo continuous updates in line with each new version of WHMCS, which is exactly what our team started working on the moment V8.6 Beta was made available.

With the list of more than 100 modules affecting various areas of the system and complex testing/QA procedures in motion, it now seems achievable to ensure WHMCS V8.6/PHP 8.1 support for the vast majority of our product base, if not all of it, by the end of the year. We do appreciate your patience so far.

Hello Modules Garden,

Today is December 4, 2022.

It is discouraging to note that as of today, out of "the list of more than 100 modules" only 44 modules are listed above as having been updated. With less than 50% of your modules updated progress, appears to be at a standstill!

Can you provide any insight as to how updates are progressing and when we can expect to see the list of updated modules grow?

Hello Uwe,

I understand that waiting is not really anything to look forward to, however, please do keep in mind that the process of implementing WHMCS V8.6 support is taking place simultaneously for multiple modules, which makes it difficult for us to estimate an exact release date for a single particular product. What I hope will prove to be good news for you is that each such update is published immediately, i.e. without being scheduled as part of the official release roadmap.

As for the pace of ongoing works, they’re nowhere near a standstill – today alone the above list has grown to include three more modules with confirmed WHMCS V8.6 support.
