What are the "upgrade" options for those modules where we've already bought the encrypted versions?

There are 2 possibilities:

You can pay a price difference between unencrypted module and encrypted module. Afterwards we will upgrade your current product to open source version.
You can keep your current encrypted module and purchase unencrypted module as a separate product for a full price. In some circumstances it is recommended to have both versions. For example, if you have two installations of WHMCS. You can use your current encrypted module on one of them and use unencrypted one with your own modifications on your second WHMCS installation.

Hi Piotr,

Great move that allow clients to purchase Open Source version but the updated versions of the module and technical support costs after 1 year is pricy.

I will suggest ModulesGarden to introduce unbranded version with encrypted files and receive normal fee for updated versions of the module and technical support costs.

Hi Trung,

Upon purchase you receive for free an access to any updated versions of the module and technical support for one year period. Afterwards you do not have to pay any additional fee for prolongation of support and access to updated versions if you don't want to make use of it. It is entirely a voluntary fee.
