Proxmox Cloud IP address control

Postby godlike » 12th June 2014, 10:50 am

Hello!
How is possible to control usage of ip addresses in qemu or openvz bridged mode?
For example, I could use any address of the subnet, I can spoof addresses and I can use few ip addresses without any control now.
How could I prevent it?
Thanks!

Hello,

Unfortunately, as far as I know, there is no option to achieve that but I will try to consult this with our geeks :geek:.
Maybe someone else will have any other idea here.

Hello, Piotr!
I have an idea:
Now I am doing this in this way:
1) Install package ebtables
2) create rule for every virtual machine on all hosts:
ebtables -A FORWARD -i <vm_interface> -p IPv4 --ip-src '!' <vm_ip> -j DROP
For example:
ebtables -A FORWARD -i veth100.1 -p IPv4 --ip-src '!' 192.168.30.3 -j DROP
But I am doing this by hand.
are there any way to do this automatically?
I've heard that there is open source hooks module for ProxmoxCloud?
Is this true?:)

P.S. As I understand correctly, it is it:
http://www.docs.modulesgarden.com/Proxm ... stom_Hooks
But my version is closed-sourced.
Where can I find opensource one?
Without open source these hooks are useless...
Or may be there are any examples of working code with this module?

Hello Godlike! :D

Indeed 1) and 2) is possible and you can do this.
And yes, there are open source hooks for Proxmox Cloud, that's true :).
Looks like the custom hooks file was encrypted by mistake. We have fixed that and you can re-download the module package from our client area. Now everything should work just fine and the file will be unencrypted.

Hello!
godlike, not Godlike - it is just translation of my name from ancient language :D, anyway, I'm agnostic:)
Ok, we've already bought the module, so, I'l reinstall whmcs+proxmox module, and I'll try the hooks.
I'll post solution here, if I find it.
Thanks!
