PanelAlpha v1.7.0 invites automation into website migrations

Postby Joanna » 23rd February 2026, 1:07 pm

If WordPress migrations were rare, nobody would build tools around them. But they happen constantly, and for years they've relied on workflows that can easily drain time and focus. PanelAlpha v1.7.0 steps into that gap and treats migrations like what they really are: a repeatable process that shouldn't demand heroics.

At the center of this release stands the new Site Migrator Plugin, bringing WordPress migrations directly into PanelAlpha and turning what used to be a sequence of steps into something fully automated.

Here's what that looks like in practice:
  • You can choose between two plugin-based paths: provide wp-admin credentials and let the process handle the rest, or install the plugin manually on the source site.
  • For more advanced or restricted environments, the FTP/SFTP migration method remains fully available.
  • Larger databases and media-heavy websites are handled through asynchronous transfers, improving reliability while keeping resource usage under control.
Beyond migrations, the 1.7.0 release delivers meaningful improvements across both the control panel and the PanelAlpha Engine. Stability, security, PHP compatibility, and day-to-day reliability all received careful attention.

Interested in how all the changes in version 1.7.0 make WordPress management less demanding?

Automate away the pain of WordPress migrations with PanelAlpha v1.7.0!
