PanelAlpha Engine v1.0 - A look at performance since beta

Postby Joanna » 23rd February 2026, 2:34 pm

When PanelAlpha published their performance benchmark soon after the beta rollout, it was clear they were not just sharing numbers, but also setting a reference point. The Engine was still early, but the direction was obvious and the ambition was visible in the results.

Fast forward to version 1.0, and it was only a matter of time before the community became curious to draw comparisons. If the beta results looked promising, what happens when you run the same test again now?

So PanelAlpha did the only right thing: put their Engine back on the same class of server and reran the benchmark under comparable conditions. This is what the new test is really meant to answer:

  • How much did average response time actually improve compared to beta?
  • Did time to first byte move in a meaningful way, or just marginally?
  • How does the Engine handle concurrency now compared to its early stage?
  • Has the gap between PanelAlpha and traditional control panels narrowed or widened?
There is a difference between claiming progress and measuring it. In this case, the measurement is here - the full benchmark and methodology are now available for anyone who wants to look at the details behind the numbers.

See how well PanelAlpha Engine performs today!
